How do i fix my split nail?

It is horizontal and in the middle?? please helpHow do i fix my split nail?
there's this nail polish like thing called liquid skin.





I was in 4th grade and i was on my way out of the bathroom and the 2inch thick solid wood door closed on my finger and there was significant damage to the nail. My dad used the liquid skin on it after i got home. this worked awesomely





it's nice because it holds like no band aid can, it keeps dirt out of the wound and is very versatile (can be used on nails/ paper cuts/ nicks and small cuts), the major downside is that it stings like heck %26gt;%26lt;

Some times you can get these clear oval patches to stick on split nails which are really effective - depends how large the split is though.





If you can't get hold of these for the time being try just painting of it with clear nail varnish and hold the split together push the sides of the nail.

Put a band aid on every day until it heals!


Thats what i did when mine split...once it grows long enoguh, just cut off the surrounding nail.

Depends on how deep it is, you might be able to just trim it or try to file it. Other than that you might not be able to do anything and just let it grow out slowly.
Well cut of the part that riped with a nail clipper and then put a band aid on your finger to let it heal.
