She stuck her finger in a pencil sharpener and split the nail from the middle, diagonally down to the cuticle. Right now, i have put a bandaid on her nail, but what do i do? Will it get infected.My 4 y/o sister's nail had just split?
Awww..poor thing :(. You should put some disinfectant on it, which WILL hurt. Try distracting her when you put it on.My 4 y/o sister's nail had just split?
It might. Can't promise it wont or will. Just apply some disinfect(Yes it will HURT) and slap a bandaid, all you and her can do is wait. Hope she feels better.
Disinfectant which hurts and then maybe some nail glue over the top, which will sting at first but will keep it from opening more and cracking further, good luck, poor thing~
