My cats nail is split. What can I do?

I need help. Her nail is split in three. Does anyone else have this problem? It happens all the time. I don't cut them to often or it happens to all of them. Help appreciated! :)My cats nail is split. What can I do?
Cats' claws are sort of like the layers of an onion. As the outer layer becomes damaged or thin, it splits off so that the layer below it is exposed.

If the splitting you are seeing seems like a layer of the claw is splitting, it is quite normal.

You said, ';I don't cut them to often or it happens to all of them.'; - It is not usual for a claw to split when you clip it. The claws are in layers and the layers naturally split.

If the splitting is going through the entire claw, not just the top layer or two, it may be a problem a vet needs to see.My cats nail is split. What can I do?
have you tried filing them? ask your vet if it gets bad we have a horse whose hooves grow really fast and they split once before our farrier could get out there someone told us to file it down right above the crack im not sure if it would work for cat claws
She might have a vitamin deficiency which is giving her very weak nails.

Also if they are too long they will be more prone to splitting.

You might wanna see the vet about this.
Don't file them, and don't clip them yourself. See a specialist about it.
