Split nail...what can i do?

i have a split nail and it hurts..what can i do so i dont snag it until it grows out?Split nail...what can i do?
use super glue and once it is hard


file it to the way you want it

This is going to sound nuts but I read on a bottle of super glue just yesterday instructions for use on split nails and couldn't believe it. Maybe that would work. Just look on the packaging or bottle. It says it right on it.


Here, I'll put it up here in case you have some but it doesn't say what mine does. It says:


For fingernail repair, clean and dry nail thoroughly. Apply glue and spread over repair area. Do not use if nail is inflamed or infected.
i either put a plaster around it for a day or two, or superglue it!! (sometimes hurts like heck if you've split it down low and some glue seeps down under but hey beauty is pain and all that!! lol)


..added: and cut it down as low as you can so there's less chance of catching it, too!

Use Super Glue. It will hold it.


Directions:


For fingernail repair:

Do not use if nail is inflamed or infected.
clip it down short so that it won't split too far down and maybe put a band aid on it in case it snags onto something.





i get those on my thumb nails All of the time
I've never had any luck with glue. Mine always seem to break at or below the quick. I clip them down as much as possible and keep a Band-Aid on it until it grows out enough to clip it smooth.
super glue the crack wait till hard and emery the edge to a smooth finish
