What is making my nails split and the skin around them split also?

As soon as they start to grow past the skin, they completely get frail and split. They feel very weak. And the skin cracks open like I cut it or something, but I haven't. It hurts too. Is this a vitamin deficiency of some kind? I apply moisturizers every day and it is not helping. What can I do as in Home Remedy? What is making my nails split and the skin around them split also?
I have heard that prenatal vitamins will help curb this as they contain high amounts of B vitamins. However if you don't want to take those, you can also find special nail %26amp; hair vitamin blends to help. What is making my nails split and the skin around them split also?
Its possibly weather related. Also washing your hands a lot, washing dishes etc can cause this. These products are awesome and very inexpensive visit www.youravon.com/dhullum (use code fsany through that link for free shipping to your home)

Brittle or frail nails and cuticles may be a sign of something lacking in your diet - perhaps you need to hydrate. Drink more water, get more calcium. The seasons always make a difference too - weather conditions and exposure. Try Sally Hansen Clear Nail Hardener and some cuticle balm.
Well it might be you need to drink more milk or and other thing with calcium. It wont work right away but just give time. But if it keeps happening just go to a nail salon.
I also have dat problem. I think ur hands are around some kind of chemical that are makin them crack.. Use good lotion and for ur nail problem use Hard As Nails nail strengthener. It works pretty good.
