SHE WAS RUNNING AND THE NAIL PART LIFFTED OFF THE SKIN SO NOW SHE HAS THE NAIL LIFTED OFF OF HER SKIN AND U CAN SEE THE ENTIRE IN SIDE OF HER NAIL WHAT SHOULD I DOMY DOGS NAIL SPLIT OFF OF THE SKIN ?

not much you can do. my female great dane just went to the vet with this last week. keep it clean and watch for bleeding. if you can wrap it in something and put a sock on her foot. that is all that you can do.





If you want to be safe take the dog to the vet and get some antibiotics to keep it from getting infected. This is the greatest risk. The vet told me it would take about four weeks for the nail to grow back long enough to cover the nerve.
First, make sure that she doesn't go outside or any dirty place that has dust or anything that is sharp because if she gets something into her nail which can lead to infections and can lead to death. Check if you're dog is yelping or barking which means she is in pain. If you can, call the vet! Or even better, go to the vet. I hope this helps.
